Undergraduate Program in Artificial Intelligence (Taught in English)
The Artificial Intelligence major (Code: 080717T) at Qingdao University of Science and Technology was established in 2020, being among the first such majors in Shandong Province and the second batch nationwide. The English-taught track of this major is a distinctive program prioritized and supported by the university, established in response to the global development trend of artificial intelligence and the evolution of the new generation of information technology and industrial transformation.
Aimed at serving the global demands of artificial intelligence development and socio-economic progress, the major’s core knowledge areas cover fundamental mathematical theories, cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies and relevant computer science fundamentals. It offers core AI courses including Artificial Intelligence Programming, Data Structures and Algorithm Analysis, Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition, Deep Learning Theory and Practice, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Speech Recognition, and Intelligent Recommendation. Focusing on research directions such as intelligent algorithms and applications in the low-altitude domain, intelligent fusion of multi-modal information, and industrial big data-driven intelligent systems, the major cultivates high-quality applied engineering and technical talents who can meet the development prospects and job requirements of the artificial intelligence industry. Graduates will be competent for work such as core technology R&D, system design and development, and system application and maintenance in fields including low-altitude economy, intelligent UAV applications, computer vision, intelligent recommendation, and intelligent optimization.
1.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with good health.
2.Aged under 40 and holding a senior high school diploma or above.
3.Applicants whose native or official language is not English must have an English proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 60 or DET 100. Those who fail to meet the above IELTS/TOEFL scores are required to take and pass the English proficiency test organized by the university.
1.Tuition Fee: RMB 20,000 per academic year
2.Other fees shall be charged in accordance with the standards specified in the 2026 Admission Brochure for International Students of Qingdao University of Science and Technology.

(3) Notarized copy of senior high school graduation certificate (or equivalent) and academic transcripts (translated into Chinese or English)
(4) A copy of IELTS, TOEFL or DET score
(5) Scanned copy of the mathematics score report of the China Standardized College Admission Test for International Undergraduate Students (CSCA)
(6) Letter of Undertaking (undertaking to abide by the laws and regulations of China during the study period in China and not to engage in any activities that disrupt social order in China or are inconsistent with the identity of a student studying in China), written in Chinese or English.
