Former Chinese Ambassador visits QUST Sino-German International Cooperation Zone

On October 27, Qingdao University of Science and Technology and Technische Universität Clausthal  staged an online signing ceremony. The two universities achieved an  agreement to establish the Institute of Advanced Material and  Engineering. Joachim Schachtner, President of TU Clausthal, Alfons  Esderts, Vice President of TU Clausthal, Ma Lianxiang, Party Secretary  of QUST, Chen Kezheng, President of QUST, and Li Yong, Vice President of  QUST attended the ceremony. Chen Kezheng and Joachim Schachtner signed the agreement on behalf of the two parties respectively.

The two parties have  agreed that they will establish the Institute of Advanced Material and  Engineering. The institute will work on interdisciplinary and  intra-disciplinary scientific research in the fields of high-performance  material, composite material and modification, and Industry 4.0  technologies, and the cultivation of high-level talent.

It is known that TU  Clausthal and QUST enjoy a good long-term relationship and solid  cooperative basis. They have jointly conducted cooperation in the fields  of advanced materials, composites material and modification, etc. In  recent years, the two universities, together with Continental AG, have cooperated in a number of research projects, including a memorandum of understanding and a supplementary agreement on a joint doctoral program signed in 2019.
